May

For May, our $5 footlong special for the month is the BMT. The $3 select 6-inch is the chicken breast. Unfortunately the flattizzas are now at regular price, they are no longer 2 for $5. If you enjoy the flattizzas, the price is worth it.

I have previously done a post about the BMT so if you want a little more information check out my post.
I also have a post about flattzzas and you can check that out here.

One sandwich i haven't talked about is the chicken breast. The chicken breast is a healthy choice at subway. Like i say in all my posts, just choose your favorite veggies and your good to go.

In the picture above, the veggies include, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, olives and onions. As you know, you don't have to get these veggies, you pick whatever you want. This sandwich doesn't have dressing but i would recommend adding some.

Theres a limited amount of the Fritoes Chicken enchilada, get it while it lasts.

Black forest Ham

The Black forest Ham isn't the best sandwich, but its a reasonable price. Ham is always a $5 foot long. I personally would order this because i love veggies and this meat goes with all veggies. If it were me getting a Ham sandwich I would have spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, banana peppers, bell peppers and salt and pepper. No dressing.

Steak and Cheese

The steak and cheese is a good choice. I wouldn't recommend it if your on a diet, it's not one of the healthier sandwiches. It is good, though, especially on some Italian herb and cheese bread. If it were my sandwich I would add some American cheese, toasted, then some spinach, a little lettuce, onions, bell peppers, some chipotle sauce and maybe a little salt and pepper too.

Steak and cheese is Saturday and Sundays fresh value meal of the day. You get a six-inch with chips and a drink for only $6.50. Come down to your local subway to get it before the fresh value meal is gone. Not only steak and cheese theres other fresh value meals throughout the week too.

Theres also a Philly Cheese steak. Which is a double meat steak, with double cheese. You can add veggies but really all you need is some chipotle sauce, or a sauce of your choice.

BMT

The BMT has pepperoni, salami, and ham. The BMT is basically a spicy Italian with ham. If you like spicy, but not too much spicy, this is the sandwich for you. Add some pepper jack cheese, pop it in the toaster, then add all the veggies you like.

Doesn't that look good?

Personally if I was to get the BMT I would add some spinach, lettuce, pickles, banana peppers, bell peppers, onions and top it off with some southwest chipotle sauce and salt and pepper. That's sounds like a sandwich.

The BMT stands for the Biggest, Meatiest, and Tastiest. It comes from the early years of subway based on the Brooklyn Manhattan transit.

Heres an old commercial with the BMT.

Teriyaki Chicken

Teriyaki Chicken has been a favorite at subway for awhile. Many people enjoy the sweet taste of the teriyaki with their favorite vegetables. If I was eating this sandwich I would recommend lettuce, onions, banana peppers and sweet onion dressing. (Olives too, but I don't like those)

Teriyaki chicken is healthy as long as you stay away from the chessy breads. Like herb and cheese and jalapeƱo cheddar. They might taste good, but they're not good for you.

Not my favorite sandwich but its good and I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Not my favorite sandwich but it is definitely worth trying. It's only for this month of February so try it before its gone!

FLATIZZAS

Subway has decided to add a new pizza to the menu. Flat bread pizzas, Flatizza for short. The bread has been pre-cooked in the oven for an extra crispy crunch. You could have a Pepperoni, Spicy Italian, or just a regular cheese. On the Flatizza you can even build your own, add buffalo, teriyaki, ham, turkey even BACON. For you veggie lovers there's also a veggie Flatizza. I insist that you try it! One is $3.25-$3.50 Two for ONLY $5! Prices may vary depending on what you add to your Flatizza.

Pepperoni Flatizza, Subway Headquaters. Personal photograph by author. 2014.

This Pepperoni Flatizza looks delicious right? Try adding some veggies, some spinach, bell pepper, banana peppers, olives and onions. This new addition is here to stay! Come down to subway and try it now!

This picture is a pepperoni Flatizza with tomatoes, olives and green bell peppers. Not my favorite, but it sure is good!
I recommend building your own.

The preparation of the pizza is quite simple, but it needs to be made right to have the right taste. The bread is pre-cooked in the oven for 6-7 minutes then cooled for 30. You add the suace and the toppings of your chioce the. The 2oz of cheese and its ready to go in the oven!  When it comes out top it off with some Parmesan cheese and enjoy.

BTW, you watch them prepare it!
